Due to Albion Power Company’s extensive commercial experience—as solar installers as well as commercial electricians and licensed roofers—we are able to handle all components of solar installations in a qualitative manner. Examples range from line-side tie in to or replacement of electrical service or installation of a new roof if necessary. References for these aspects of our business are available upon request. Our commercial goal is that, after years of our crews working together, the synergy of these trades provides for best practice solar installations.

Generous commercial incentives include California Solar Initiative rebates based upon expected performance or kilowatt-hours of clean energy produced, 30% Federal Investment Tax Credits (ITC) and the MACRS 5-year Accelerated Depreciation. These incentives compound the benefits of a free fuel source displacing energy costs while savings grow over time.

The attractiveness of these scaled benefits creates opportunities for leased ownership and Power Purchase Agreements. Leases enable commercial entities to make solar investment over time while Power Purchase Agreements facilitate purchasing just the solar kilowatt-hours produced by the system.

Albion Power Company can provide revenue-grade metering allowing some building owners to sell energy to tenants via the renewable energy power plant on their roof.
